♡ :: Poochie Cards #1-2 :: ♡´¯`•.¸¸.εїз*

As mentioned in my very first post, my favorite hobby is making handmade cards. Whether its birthday cards, thank you cards, holiday cards and etc...I love spending time to create these for my very special friends.

I want to thank my friend Cristiana for having brought me into the world of Scrapbooking. Her husband Roberto jokingly calls this hobby an addiction...I absolutely agree! The after-effects of a well made card is truly exciting and fills me with a great sense of achievement.

Currently, my primary focus in card-making is anything poochie-related. I see these pet cards displayed at Petsmart and Petco and feel that there's definitely a niche out there. Pet Lovers of the world smile at the cuteness of these cards and my goal is to take that one step further:

To design & create poochie-themed cards carrying unique, handmade designs that help contribute to wonderful memories for every Pet Lovers' special occasions.

The purpose of this blog is to post all my poochie card collections. For those of you interested in my cards, please feel free to drop me a comment. I'd love to hear from you!

Now, here are my 2 most recent card creations - #H0001 is a holiday Christmas Card book that I made for my boyfriend that featured my very own puppy, Mocha! (yes, he's the inspiration behind MyPuppyMocha.com). #C0001 is a congratulatory card I made for my friend's housewarming party tomorrow.

I'll continue to post more of my designs as I create them...stay tuned for more!

♡ :: Poochie Party Ideas :: ♡´¯`•.¸¸.εїз*

Planning a poochie party and need some ideas?
Here are some great ideas I found on the web for your poochie parties.

If you have any ideas to submit, share them with us here! :D

** Decorations/Favors **
  • Cut out small and large circles and make dog prints and tracks throughout the house, walls and entry ways. One paw print consists of 1 large circle, and 4 small ones.
  • Create seat placement tags in the shape of dog houses
  • Create metal dog tags for your guests at a local pet store
  • Goody bags with chew toys and treats
  • Bandanas embroidered with cute messages such as "I love my mommy", "Got Kibble?", and "Hug Wanted"
** Guest Activities **
  • Donations - Ask guests to bring an item for donation to a local animal shelter (towels, blankets, food, treats, toys, leashes and collars)
  • Visit to Local Animal Shelter - Go with your guests to drop off items
  • Kodak Moments - Take pictures of the drop-off process and give it to your guests as thank you card
  • Dog Ear Headbands - Have guests create these out of different colors of felt and fabric
  • Puppy Dig - Fill a small wading pool with sand and hide small prizes deep at the bottom of the sand. Give the guests 15 seconds to dig for a prize (they will have to dig fast and the game will last longer). Once they are done the next person in line must dig for a prize
  • Puppy Bone Hunt - Hide plastic bones or bone-shaped doggy biscuits throughout the house or yard. Designate some bones or biscuits with a special symbol...guests who find the "special" bones or biscuits win a special prize. Also, the guest who finds the most bone or biscuits win a special prize.
** Guest Food **
  • Bone shaped food (cookies, sandwiches, pancakes, and etc)
  • Puppy kibble for guests - mix peanut butter-chocolate cereal
